Eva-Marie began studying acupuncture in 1996. Since then, she has graduated as a Chinese medicine practitioner in 2002 and has practiced acupuncture and medical laser on both humans and small animals at her private clinic, Neosoma, in Sweden.

During her acupuncture studies, she learned about medical laser and deepened her knowledge by studying laser physics for the Swedish physicist Lars Hode, a specialist in optical physics.

While studying laser physics, she became curious about how lasers activate the acupuncture system and began to investigate how different laser wavelengths stimulated acupuncture points in different ways. In collaboration with the Swedish laser manufacturer, Irradia, Eva-Marie has been involved in developing equipment specifically for laser acupuncture.

For the past ten years, she has trained acupuncturists in Scandinavia in laser acupuncture. Eva-Marie is an authorized member of the Swedish Acupuncture Association-TCM, where she also was president between 2015-2019.
